Italian design house Pininfarina is responsible for the good looks of Ferraris. Now, the well-known designers are trying their hands at superyachts. The Rossinavi x Pininfarina Aurea Yacht is the result of a collaboration between Pininfarina and Italian shipbuilder Rossinavi.
The Aurea was unveiled in early June at the SuperYacht Gallery in England. The yacht is a design concept, but it will be built if there is a buyer. Aurea means golden in Latin, and this yacht is truly a beauty. She features three large aft decks, a huge beach club and two pools.
The 70-metre Aurea features a flowing superstructure that was designed after the sea. A diesel electric powerplant it situated midship. This innovative design leaves plenty of space in the aft for the large beach club. The beach club is the largest in this yacht’s class.
The upper deck features a terrace that extends like a walkway to provide incredible views of the sea. The deck right below has al fresco dining for up to 12 people. There is also a jacuzzi on this deck. A pair of curved staircases leads to the sundeck. There is also a helipad that can accommodate up to six sun loungers. An enclosed sky lounge provides a great relaxing space for those wanting a shaded place to relax.
Guest cabins are located on the main deck, and the owner’s cabin right above. Each cabin features a balcony to provide private outdoor space to guests. Other features include water-level access on both sides of the vessel and an infinity pool.
This design of the Aurea concept is one of the most interesting ones in yacht design as seamlessly combines form and function.
