2013 Toyota Tundra Custom Build Epitomises Aggression

Part SWAT assault vehicle, part Mad Max road warrior, and all badass, the 2013 Toyota Tundra Crewmax TRD Off-Road Package offered on Bring a Trailer is a sight to behold. The modified 4X4 not only looks like it can take on any challenge, it has the wherewithal to do it.

Toyota Tundra Custom Build dashboard

With only 48K miles on the odometer, this modified Tundra comes with the standard 5.7-litre V8 that puts out 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode that is combined with an electronically controlled four-wheel-drive system. That’s all stock, but the rest—well, it’s a bit more than just the standard.

The previous owner outfitted the Tundra with a seven-inch suspension lift and a three-inch body lift. The air suspension ties in with the Fox Racing Shox and BDS Suspension components. The 20-inch Fuel Hostage wheels are mounted with 37-inch x 13.5 inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires. Skid plates were also added and custom bumpers were created for this rig. A 17,500-pound winch is ready to pull lesser vehicles out of any trouble they might get into. For really rough crossings, the Tundra has an ARB Safari snorkel, and the body was refinished with a Line-X exterior coating. Bushwacker fender flares add to the menacing quality of this beast. A roof rack provides space for additional cargo as well as additional LED lighting.

The interior maintains the Tundra’s grey leather and features navigation and a backup camera. Aftermarket gauges were also added, and there’s a loudspeaker for when you need to be heard over the crowd. The dealer replaced the front brakes and performed other maintenance tasks, such as changing the oil and performing an alignment.

Unfortunately, this rig will have to just serve as inspiration for your own build as it recently sold on Bring a Trailer for USD$40,100.
