The 2019 Mustang Hennessey Edition marks the 10,000th vehicle made by the Texas tuning shop. According to New York Times bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell, 10,000 is the key number to reaching mastery of any given skill. Of course, Gladwell was talking about hours of practice, but Hennesy shows that 10,000 of anything will achieve mastery, as in the case of this beautiful Mustang.
The 2019 Hennessey Heritage Edition Mustang was inspired by the 2018 Ford GT Heritage Edition. The Mustang features a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 808 horsepower and 677 lb-ft of torque. All that power has the Heritage Mustang galloping from 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, with top speeds reaching over 200 miles per hour. The Heritage Mustang is available in the factory six speed manual transmission or a 10 speed automatic transmission. The car comes in Race Red with white livery graphics. Only 19 of the cars will be made, each with a unique serial numbered dash plaque and engine plaque.
In the 27 years it has taken for Hennessey to reach 10,000 cars, they’ve taken thousands of Venom-powered Dodge Vipers, VelociRaptor powered Ford Raptors, and many more Chevrolet Camaros and Corvettes from performance-driven cars, to ultra high performance behemoths. The company impressively averages over 650 horsepower per Hennessey-tuned vehicle. In total, they’ve logged over 6.5 million horsepower.
