They say that the best things come in threes, and that’s definitely true of the 2020 Shelby Super Snake Bold Edition Coupe. The exciting 2020 model is available in three color schemes inspired by the car’s history—Shadow Black with bright green stripes, Green Lime with black stripes, and Twister Orange with black stripes. The black or green variations have green accents decorating the interior, while the orange version comes with orange accents. Each of the color versions comes in either a convertible or coupe model.
Color schemes aside, there’s plenty to be impressed with when it comes to the 2020 Shelby Super Snake Bold Edition. As the name suggests, this isn’t a car for the faint of heart. The standard model makes use of the supercharged V8 to produce 710 horsepower. However, you can step it up with the Bold edition and get a power upgrade. In the Bold edition, the hood’s scooped power dome hides a Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine that has been supercharged to produce 825 horsepower. With that much power, the Super Snake hits 60 miles per hour from 0 in just 3.5 seconds. The engine is mated with either a 10-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual. Shelby also updated the brakes and suspension in order to handle that power boost.
The 2020 Shelby Super Snake Bold Edition is only available in limited numbers. Just a scant 30 cars are going to be built in both the coupe and convertible versions. Shelby has revealed that some of these cars will make it to dealers’ showrooms, but don’t expect them to stay there long. There’s also a rumor of a few of these vehicles already being earmarked to make their way onto the global market. The first Super Snake Bold Edition to go on sale is expected to appear at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. You can pick up one of these cars starting at $123,295, or convert your own Mustang GT with a kit with pricing starting at $71,395.
