Luxury SUVs are killing it right now, and Audi isn’t one to miss out on the action. More to the point, the German automaker just unveiled its 2019 Q8 SUV at the Audi Brand Summit in Shenzhen, China, making good on a concept that was first introduced last year in Detroit. Featuring room for five passengers, the sporty SUV strives for a coupe-like aesthetic, and comes in a little wider and a little lower than the popular Q7.
From the Audi Q8, expect a curvy body, an octagonal grill, and large air inlets. Under the hood is four-wheel drive and a mild-hybrid system to cut down on gas usage when the SUV is at a stop. Inside the luxury vehicle, you’ll find a new and improved infotainment system, which comes equipped with a super-responsive touchscreen among other things.
The Audi 2019 Q8 is slated for release later this year. While the expected price tag is currently under wraps, we imagine the sleek ride won’t be cheap. Of course, there will be plenty of bang delivered for that buck, and just in time. After all, there are far worse ways to capitalise on the crossover trend than by grabbing Audi’s latest.
