It’s hard to talk about muscle cars and not talk about the Ford Mustang. The 1967 Ford Mustang in particular stands out for its design and power. Perhaps that’s why Aviar Motors chose to style its very first car, the R67, after that icon.
The R67 isn’t just a replica muscle car, though. It’s actually an all-electric vehicle. A pair of electric motors deliver 840 horsepower and over 700 lb-ft of torque to its all-wheel-drive system. With that much power, the R67 hits 62 miles per hour in just 2.2 seconds, and tops out at 155 (that’s what the limiter is set to, so it may be capable of more). The 100 kWh battery pack can power the R67 to a range of 315 miles, if you keep your foot from putting the pedal to the metal. And for those that not only love the looks of a muscle car but the wound of the engine, Aviar Motors added in a faux V8 rumble by playing back the sounds of a Shelby Gt500 through the sound system.
The R67 comes with a front splitter and an active rear spoiler that automatically deploys at speeds exceeding 75 miles per hour. It also has dual-zone climate control, LED lighting, a sunroof, 12-way adjustable heated seats, keyless entry, retracting door handles, and a back up camera. And don’t even get started on the interior—it will match any luxury vehicle out there.
