The Bentley Bentayga is already a luxury vehicle, so creating a special edition means you’re heaping luxury on top of luxury. For the Bentley Bentayga V8 Design Series, Bentley started with the Bentayga Blackline. They added a body-coloured front bumper apron and swapped out the exhaust pipes for pipes with a gloss-black finish.
Similarly, the trim around the front grille, the bumper and side skirt inserts, and the window trim are all also done in gloss black. A set of new seven-spoke wheels finished in Palladium Grey Paragon and designed by Mulliner come on the Design Series.
On the inside, the interior hasn’t changed from the Blackline, but it does come in different options—four two-tone themes, Pillar Box Red, Orange Mulliner White, and Klein Blue, all done in Beluga leather. The dashboard is adorned with a new carbon fibre trim that was designed specifically for the Design Series.
While other Bentley models come with a few more options for the engine, the Design Series is limited to the titular V8—a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 to be specific. The engine puts out 542 horsepower with 568 lb-ft of torque. The engine propels the Design Series to a respectable 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 180 miles per hour. All-wheel drive is standard on the Design series and it comes with Electronic Differential Lock and four Drive Dynamic modes.
Bentley hasn’t shared pricing, but around USD$190,000 is a safe bet.
