Bugatti Joins the Dark Side for the Chiron Noire Coupe

First glances of the Bugatti Chiron Noire Coupe bring to mind Darth Vader’s iconic helmet—not just for the blacked out look and swooping lines, but for the menacing quality of the design as well. This is the car you would see Vader cruising around inside the planet-sized Death Star.

Bugatti is offering the Noire model in two versions—the Chiron Noire Elegance and the Chiron Noire Sportive. The Elegance makes prolific use of exposed carbon fiber, creating a texture to the blacked out car that is mesmerizing to behold. The grille, which already brings to mind the Sith Lord’s helmet, for the Elegance has also been tweaked, with the Bugatti emblem being done in solid silver and then finished in black enamel. Under the special wheels for the Elegance you’ll find black finished brake calipers. The lines of the Elegance bring to mind the same line of the brow of Vader’s helmet, while looking at it from the back it is easy to imagine the eyes of the same. Inside, the Elegance is completely blacked out as well. The center armrest features a carbon badge, while on the door sills you’ll find Noire markings that match the embroidered headrests.

The Sportive is also dressed in black—from the signature line and wheels to the front spoiler and grille. The engine cover and quad tailpipe finishers of the titanium exhaust system are also blacked out. Once again inside, you’ll find plenty of black to go around, including the stitching and the aluminum trim.

Both versions have plenty of force to go around. The Elegance and the Sportive are both powered by Bugatti’s 8.0-liter W16 engine, which invokes 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque. The engine ties into a seven-ratio dual-clutch automatic transmission. When this engine revs, it drives the Chiron from 0 to 62 in just 2.4 seconds.

The Chiron Noire Elegance and Chiron Noire Sportive will be limited to just 20 units—after all, when it comes to the Sith, there are only ever two. The Elegance starts its pricing at 3 million Euro, and the Sportive model adds an additional 100,000 euro to that starting point. Whatever you do, don’t doubt the value of these cars, or your lack of faith may be found disturbing.
