Did you know that there is a Ford Brazil out there? If you didn’t, then you need to put Troller on your radar. The Troller brand is a part of Ford Brazil, and they just released a new version of their T4 body-on-frame off-roader that they have titled the TX4. This new version adds a six-speed automatic transmission in place of the original’s six-speed manual. The gearbox is set up to drive on all types of terrain using three driving modes: Drive, Sport, and Manual.
The new TX4 also comes with a locking rear differential that is electrically operated by a push of the button on the center console. Steel bumpers join side steps and protectors as well as a snorkel. The automatic headlights feature what Troller is calling “super white lamps,” and it also comes with auxiliary Hella LED lights. The TX4 rides on Pirelli Scorpion MTR 245/70 R17 tires. To power it all, Troller installs a 3.2-liter Duratorq five-cylinder turbo diesel that produces 197 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a standard 4WD system that offers 4×2, 4×4 High, and 4×4 Low—all of which are activate from a shift-on-the-fly switch.
The interior of the TX4 is done with vinyl seats that have orange stitching and that feature the TX4 logo on the backrests. The central air vents feature orange contours. Rounding out the details for the interior are a double glass sunroof, power windows and mirrors, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a trip computer, an alarm, split rear seats, and space for installing off-road navigation devices. For the exterior, Troller is providing three main body colors—Trancoso Brown, Maragogi Green, and Frosted Silver. The grille, hood, roof, bumpers, tailgate, side steps, and snorkel are done in Naval Blue. Pricing starts at $39,120. If you haven’t seen what Ford Brazil is doing with the Troller brand, you won’t be disappointed in the TX4.
