FJ Company has been putting gout custom Land Cruisers for a while now, all the while garnering an impressive reputation for quality. Now they’re offering you a chance to customise their customs with a build-your-own option.
The build starts with an original 1970-1983 Toyota FJ40 or FJ43 Land Cruiser Chassis. The steel body is completely restored and rebuilt by hand with either a custom soft-top or an optional hardtop. That chassis is then paired with a new Toyota 1GRE-FE 4.0 litre V6 capable of 228 horsepower and mated with a Toyota five-speed manual transmission. A custom stainless steel exhaust is also added.
The G40 also comes with anti-lock braking and stability and traction control. Automatic locking hubs make going four-wheeling easy. All the performance that has made Land Cruisers the choice of adventurers everywhere is there, but so are the creature comforts. Modern seating options are available, as well as air conditioning and a heater. A modern digital cluster is added, along with a Bluetooth-enabled sound system. You’ll be able to choose your paint colour, interior upholstery, and the style of top.
And that’s just scratching the surface of what you can get.
You’ll have three options to choose from: the Heritage, starting at USD$160,000; the Expedition, starting at $170,000; and the Signature, starting at $200,000. Whatever route you choose, you can rest assured that the FJ Company will be delivering a Land Cruiser that is up to any challenge.
