Lamborghini’s Aventador S Roadster sets new benchmarks in vehicle technology and performance on both road and track, plus the retractable roof panels encourage an emotive open air driving experience. All of this awesomeness is achieved without compromising driving dynamics or comfort.
Equipped with a naturally aspired 740 horsepower engine, the Aventador S accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 3.0 seconds and possesses a top speed equal to the Aventador S coupé of 350 km/h. This impressive speed of the coupé is matched even when the Roadster weighs an additional 50kg. The seven-speed lightweight Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission provides robotised gearshifts, with carbon ceramic brakes as standard. Dione 20”/21” rims are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires specially developed for the Aventador S.
The Aventador S Roadster adopts new active suspension and new four-wheel steering that provides improved agility at low speed and more stability at high speed, combined with Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) for responsive feedback and sharper turn-in. An optimised ESC system improves longitudinal control for faster and more precise management of traction control and vehicle dynamics depending on which of the 4 driving modes is selected, maximising grip in all conditions and enhancing handling. The Aventador’s ‘total control concept’ assures superior drive, ride, and performance no matter who’s behind the wheel.
The Roadster’s body features distinct lines with an engine bridge running from the back window to the rear in a mix of body colour and matt black painted carbon fibre engine bonnet blades. The sleek, removable, hardtop roof panels are convexly moulded to ensure maximum cabin space for the occupants. An easy fastening system allows the panels to be quickly removed and stored in the front trunk. The rear window is electrically operated at the push of a button for drivers wanting to hear the beat of the V12 engine. When closed, the window minimises cabin noise and airflow.
The Aventador S Roadster launches in the ‘Blu Aegir’ colourway, inspired by the calm turquoise ocean hiding an indomitable force beneath: sophisticated yet powerful, with extensive use of carbon fibre. The wing mirrors and windscreen frame are finished in high gloss carbon fibre while the lower part of the car, including front and rear bumper, side skirts, air intakes and outlets, are in visible carbon fibre. The interior features leather and Alcantara in single and bi-colour combinations and various stitching and trim choices. There are five interior configurations to choose from.
The Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster takes the coupé concept you know and love and removes the roof for an incredible open air experience while retaining the incredible high performance – 350km/h and 100km in just 3.0 seconds! The Aventador S Roadster is a pricey gem at USD 460,247, but also one of the highest performing vehicles in existence, so worth every cent. First customers will take delivery of the new Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster in February 2018.
