Sean Barber set out to build the best “retro-mod” shop in the world, and the New Legend Scout Ls800 is proof positive that he has arrived. New Legend continues to build on an already impressive curriculum vitae of over-the-top restomods with a 1967 Scout overhaul. The Scout Ls800 was completely restored and then painted a stunning Harvester Red.
The interior was redone in new waxed canvas on the original low-back seats, while the bed received a protective polyurethane coating, taking care of the “resto” part of the build.
The “mod” part comes in with the upgraded 350 horsepower 5.3L LS engine. The Scout was gifted a new Outrider chassis as well, in combination with a new suspension. The Scout also received a two-inch lift and a modern sound system. While they were at it, New Legend also added in several safety features and Workman bumpers with integrated LED lights.
This sexy beast also features saddle storage boxes and heat and sound insulation. This particular model has already been claimed, but given the proven track record of New Legend, you can commission a beautiful restomod with them at any time, trusting that they’ll deliver—just like they always have.
