Novitec has been turning out some pretty impressive speedsters through its N-Largo tuning program. They seem to have a special penchant for Lamborghinis and McLarens. In fact, their most recent project was a wide-body Macca 720S Spider, but they only have plans for making 15 of these kits.
The N-Largo kit addresses the exterior of the Spider by adding a new aero pack, which adds 60mm to the Spider’s width in the front and 130mm in the rear. Novitec also lowered the car by 35mm, a drop that resulted from a set of performance springs. The kit adds a set of 21 inch in the rear and 20 inch in the front Vossen MC2 forged wheels. These are shod in a set of Pirelli P Zero high performance tires.
Under the hood, the N-Largo kit adds more power to the already strong twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 (this engine out of the factory produces 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque). Novitec retuned the engine and added in a plug and play control unit and a tweaked exhaust setup, which brought the engine up to 794 horsepower and 648 lb-ft of torque. That boost in power dropped the 0 to 62 miles per hour time from 2.9 seconds to 2.7 seconds. Getting to 124 miles per hour also dropped, going from 7.8 seconds to 7.5 seconds. With the tuning done, the Spider hits a top speed of 215 miles per hour.
Carbon fiber accentuates the interesting paint scheme of Novitec’s version of the Spider. You’ll see these accents on the side mirror caps, rear wing, and in other areas. Novitec hasn’t shared much on pricing, but considering that a stock Spider runs $315,000 USD, this won’t be a cheap vehicle. However, it will be one that is worth the asking price.
