If you’re going to put together a one-off in the automotive world, you need to get the most bang for your buck. Add to that the extra stress of that one-off bearing the Lamborghini name, and you’ve got quite a challenge ahead of you. The SC18 Alston from Squadra Corse meets the bill and more.
The road-legal but track-focused SC18 took the Lamborghini Aventador and gave it a low stance—only 109 mm off the ground. The bodywork of the SC18 pulls inspiration from the GT3, specifically the fenders, sundry fins, and adjustable carbon fibre rear wing. The Huracan GT3 Evo racing program informed the rest of the design.
The engine, which features 12 intakes, is a 6.5 litre naturally aspirated V12 that has been paired with an ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) seven-speed transmission. Gear changing is handled by the column-mounted paddles. The V12 has a 770 horsepower output, with 531 lb-ft of torque.
The all-wheel-drive system makes use of single-lug, center-lock 20-inch in the front and 21-inch in the rear alloy wheels. On the inside, carbon fibre bucket seats keep you rooted in the black Alcantara microfiber with red cross-stitching upholstery. As a final detail, Squadra Corse added a custom exhaust that produces an engine sound unique to the SC18.
