Roland Gumpert is a German automobile company that has developed an electric car that is impossible not to love. The company describes Nathalie as “a coupe with racing genes, grille frame, carbon chassis, all-wheel drive, vortex generator, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler.” That’s a pretty thorough description, but it doesn’t really provide that many reasons that you should love this car any more than any other vehicle out there. For those reasons, you may want to look first at the fact that this is an electric vehicle. As the description mentioned, Nathalie is a four-wheel drive vehicle, with an electric engine for each wheel.
Nathalie also uses a regenerative system to reclaim lost power. And speaking of power, she sports 300-600 kW that push the car to a top speed of 190 miles per hour and grant a 0 to 60 in just 2.5 seconds. Still don’t feel your heart racing? Then let’s talk range. A lot of electric vehicles are pretty impressive, but they’re not in it for the long haul. Nathalie uses an all-electric system but it is fueled by methanol. The methanol system provides the energy needed to refuel the fuel cells without needing to rely on EV charging stations. The methanol system uses an electrochemical reaction to refuel in just three minutes in an environmentally neutral way. The system gives you a 530 mile range at 50 miles per hour, or 745 miles in eco mode. Now there’s a reason to fall in love.
