Have you heard of Slovenia? It’s a tiny country in southern Central Europe with Austria to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Croatia to the southeast, and the Adriatic Sea to the southwest. It only covers 7,827 square miles and has a population of just over two million.
If you have heard of Slovenia, it’s mostly likely because of its many resorts and lakes. It might also be because of Tushek.
In 2012, Tushek introduced the world to a new supercar with 450 horsepower—the Renovatio T500. Tushek is back, this time with a supercar that is twice as powerful, the TS 900 H Apex.
Twice the power means that the Apex hits 950 horsepower, which comes with 1,032 lb-ft of torque. All that power comes from the 4.2-litre, rear-mounted V8 that has been coupled with dual electric motors. The Apex is a real featherweight as well, thanks to its chrome-moly spaceframe chassis and its carbon fibre body (it weighs only 3,018 lbs.).
That much power and that light a weight has the Apex going from 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds. Top speed for the Apex is listed at 236 miles per hour. At those speeds grip is important, so Tushek equipped the Apex with Pirelli Trofeo Series R Tires. But you also need to stop reliably, and the Apex has Brembo brakes to take care of that.
Tushek will be debuting the Apex at the Salon Prive in the UK in September. Founder Aljosa Tuskek, who is also a race car driver, said, “The Tushek team is delighted to be back at Salon Prive. Over the past years, we have intensively developed and constructed advanced technological solutions for our new model, the TS 900 H Apex, in particular in the area of electric drive train.
Those developments are now incorporated in our latest model and have been successfully tested in race track conditions over the past months. Our team is looking forward to presenting our supercar to Salon Prive’s elite clientele.”
Slovenia is back on the map, thanks to Tushek’s TS 900 H Apex Coupe.
