The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe has several options to choose from—the Tahoe RST, the Tahoe Custom, the Tahoe Custom Midnight, and the Tahoe Midnight. The custom midnight edition comes available on the Tahoe LS models that has been rethought to include off-road styling cues. The LS comes with a 5.3 liter EcoTec3 V8 that puts out 355 horsepower and 383 pound feet of torque. You’ll average 16 miles per gallon on city streets and 22 on the highway with the LS. The Midnight Custom edition offers 18-inch painted black wheels that have been mounted with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires. The grille has been blacked out and tubular off-road assist steps and black bowtie emblems have also been added. Removing the third row of seating increased the cargo space to 53 cubic inches.
There’s plenty of technology to talk about in the Tahoe—and not just the technology that went into improving its performance. You’ll also discover that the Tahoe is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible, with 4G LTE connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. Remote start is standard and the rear vision camera displays on the 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen radio. A Standard Teen Driver setting allows you to more closely control who is driving your Tahoe and when. Speaking of teen drivers, the Tahoe also comes equipped with Forward Collision Alert, Safety Alert Seat, IntelliBeam headlamps with automatic high beam control, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning, and Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking.
