You might be a little incredulous reading this, but it’s true—T. Fotiadis Design has created a 6X6 Range Rover. T. Fotiadis is based out of Berlin, Germany, and is known for its luxury yachts and high-end residential interiors. As out of character as it may sound for a luxury yacht builder to venture into the automotive world, that’s exactly what T. Fotiadis is doing. The 6X6 Range Rover has been dubbed the “SLT”—Superyacht Land Tender.
The SLT started out as a Merc G-Wagen and has been expanded to provide plenty of room with the intention of being able to transport the yacht’s owner and guests, plus their luggage, to and from the dock and airports, hotels, or private residences. The wheel base for the SLT is based on the Range Rover Long-Wheelbase and measures 244 inch (a little over 20 feet). The SLT isn’t just long, however. It’s also wide, coming in at 84 inches wide. Oh, and tall, too—73 inches to be exact.
The SLT will feature three axles with six 20-inch wheels. The body is a custom kit, no surprise as its being made to match the superyacht. Owners will be able to choose from a 2.0 liter inline four with a plug-in hybrid system, a 4.4 liter diesel V8, or a 5.0 liter supercharged V8.
The SLT isn’t quite a reality yet, but it’s slated to debut at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show in September.
