The Dodge Challenger is a popular classic when it comes to straight up muscle cars. However, for all the crazy Challenger fans or muscle heads, they are often put off by the expensive prices and the OG engine falls short against today’s engines.
The new Dodge Shakedown Challenger has shaken up the model by maintaining the iconic looks, but with a nasty, modernised 6.4L HEMI engine from Mopar that boasts 485 horsepower via a six-speed transmission.
The suspension has been lowered enough to ensure that the SRT Hellcat 20-inch wheels can still sit comfortably underneath, while the lights are identical from the 2017 Challenger. Inside, the front seats and steering wheel designs are taken directly from the Dodge Viper. The charcoal finish with red detailing gives this Challenger a badass look with a contemporary vibe as it steers away from the classic all black paintjobs on muscle cars.
