Rapha Goes Off Road with Performance Trailwear Collection
For over 15 years, Rapha has been making some of the finest cycling gear available on the market today, but that gear has been keeping to the roads and not to the trails, so mountain biking enthusiasts haven’t been able to enjoy their quality and style. That’s all changing, however. Rapha’s new Performance Trailwear Collection provides mountain biking with the same care and coolness that road cyclists have enjoyed for so long.

The collection consists of all the essentials that are needed for safe and stylish mountain biking. The range starts with a three-quarter sleeve jersey as well as a short sleeve jersey. You’ll also find a lightweight jacket for those cooler days on the trail. And of course, there’s also riding shorts and bib liners. Rapha also has an accessory collection to go along with the new range that includes a helmet made in collaboration with Smith, a hip pack, sunglasses, a six-panel cap, and a hip pack.
Rapha of course delivers with their usual attention to detail. The jerseys have bonded collars for a more comfortable fit, and the shorts have pockets strategically placed with riding in mind. Every product in the line is made using materials proven to be durable. And even though the fabrics are all abrasion-resistant, Rapha still provides a rip repair patch kit—because crashes are just a part of mountain biking, after all.
“Our guiding principle has always been to make cycling the most popular sport in the world, and to achieve that goal, we can’t (and won’t) focus on one width of tire or only use the road market as our white space,” says Jake Rosenbloum, Rapha’s MTB general manager. Rosenbloum continues, stating, “We’re confident we can have an equally meaningful impact on the future of the sport.” That’s a given, knowing the track record Rapha has already had on cycling.
