Single Speed World Championship

Crazy outfits, bicycles, beers, goofy dancing and a shot at winning a world title… Now that’s what I call a party. Sanctioned by no official governing body, the Single Speed World Championship is an annual bike rally where people gather to ride some trails and compete for the SSWC winner’s tattoo. That’s right, if you are not deemed the winner unless you accept the highly sought after victors tattoo at the finish line. In order to participate, entrants must be riding a bike with a fixed gear ratio, which can get pretty tough on the rugged terrain, but luckily the course has rehydration stations for you to have a rest and stock up on vital fluids such as beer. Check out the  Sinamatella Productions video from the 2012 event. We can’t wait for the 2013 event in Italy!
