Popular men’s publication, Gear Patrol have their own ride on call. Yep, they really do. And how cool does that sound? They have teamed up with the guys at FJ Company and created a super special edition of the 1980 FJ40.
It is one of one. Editor-in-chief Eric Yang worked with the company to add the Gear Patrol touch this beautiful SUV. It underwent a nine-month restoration process to ensure it was impeccable and ready for the showroom. This unique FJ40 is covered in the original factory white colour.
The aftermarket hardtop is removed and swapped for a custom soft top. There are refinished wheels in gunmetal grey on Goodrich all-terrain tires. It runs on a Toyota 2F engine and 4-speed manual transmission. It’s so hard to be unique these days with replicas everywhere and high social demand resulting in more supply for profits. I’m sure the sneakerheads can agree with this. You would have no issues regarding that when sitting behind the wheel of this one.
