Italy-based DMD has been designing helmets for 40 years. The company is celebrating their 40th anniversary in a special way—by releasing a throwback to the unique off-road helmets that were popular during the 1970s.
The DMD first released the Seventy Five helmet line right after they opened their doors for business 40 years ago. Now, they have unveiled a special Waves Helmet that is a replica of the ones they made back in the Golden Age. This new helmet is a stylish accessory that gives riders a chance to experience motorcycle fashion from the 1970s.
The Waves Helmet has the same iconic gradient line design that was seen in the 70s. It even boasts the 70’s- inspired paint job that features contrasting yellow, orange and red stripes. However, the newest helmet has been updated to meet modern standards. It features ECE & DOT-compliant Kevlar and carbon construction that meets all of the safety standards of today.
This helmet features a secure, cushioned chin strap with a double D-loop closure. The removable, washable liner has moisture-wicking properties. A full face port features slotted air vents to provide a good air supply. There are even three snaps to fasten on a removable visor or other snap accessories. There is also space for a pair of goggles.
Other features include a prominent chin bar and lightweight design. The Wave Helmet fits head sizes from 54 to 63 cm and comes in sizes XS to 2XL.
