Ujet has come up with a unique approach to commuting. At first blush, the Ujet scooter looks much the same as any other scooter, perhaps only a little leaner. But there is a lot going on with this electric bike. First, the scooter literally folds in half. Pivoting in the middle, the scooter can be folded and then rolled off like a pull behind grocery cart to be stored just about anywhere— its diminutive size gives plenty of options. You won’t have to worry about muscling it around either, as it only weighs 49 kg.
Next up on characteristics is the scooter’s orbital wheel design. The orbital wheel allows for a smoother and safer ride, and sports larger brakes and an improved suspension system. The tires are nan-augmented, which increases their grip. Finally, the in-wheel 3kW electric motor offers plenty of performance with 4.9 horsepower and 80 Nm of torque.
The scooter also has an onboard computer that is connected to over 30 sensors and is capable of integrating with GPS, 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It can even prevent theft by alerting you on your phone of any attempt and allowing you to remotely disable its motor.
And as a final consideration, there are plenty of options. Not only are there six different color options, you can also chose the shape (diamond or curved) and seat heights. Battery size is also an option, with a choice between a 75 km or 150 km range.
