The guys from NCT Motorcycles in Austria have an impressive list of custom bikes under their belt, including a Honda CB 550 Cafe Racer and a stunning BMW R100 dubbed the “Black Stallion.” Both of these bikes are truly quite impressive. Their newest customised motorcycle, the Ducati 840 Evo Racer, is possibly one of their best customizations so far. It just goes to show what these guys are capable of when it comes to designing custom bikes.
NCT Motorcycles founder David Widmann and his team Manuel Tilke and Kurt Kosjek took the original Ducati 848, which was already a road beast and transformed it into a modern but retro sport bike. The 140 horsepower bike was stripped down to its essentials—the engine, tank and tires. They gave the motorcycle a bevvy of new parts. NCT replaced all of the original bodywork except for the tank. The Ducati was then pieced back together with a new subframe. Carbon fibre side covers, new fenders and a handmade aluminum tail were all added. Upgraded leather upholstery and a smartly embedded LED taillight were added. Other upgrades include a Öhlins suspension and custom exhaust with an Akrapovi? silencer. The wheels were wrapped with Diablo Supercorsa tires, which are Pirelli’s best race tire available on the market. A custom olive green paint job and black powder coating on the wheels and trellis frame completes the job. The overall result—a customised Ducati that is quite a head turner.
