Rivian R1T is the Cybertruck We’ve Been Waiting For
After some delay, the first Rivian R1T trucks will soon be delivered and if you didn’t jump on the bandwagon earlier, you can head over to the electric vehicle manufacturer’s website and start building your dream R1T truck using their configuring tool. While the launch edition is no longer available, you can select from either the Adventure Package (starting at $73,000) or the Explore Package (starting at $67,500), two badass new electric trucks set to tackle Tesla.

Regardless of what package you choose, you’ll get an electric truck that boasts an impressive 300+ mile range. The differences between the package really boil down to the interiors. The Adventure Package offers perforated vegan leather seats that are heated and ventilated. The seats also feature patterned stitching. The interior for the Adventure Package also features natural-grained ash wood. And for your entertainment, you’ll also get the Rivian Elevation audio system by Meridian. In the Explore Package, the interior is done in matte black with vegan leather seating. The seats here are also heated and ventilated.
The R1T comes with all-wheel drive with each wheel being powered by its own electric motor. This arrangement makes it possible for the R1T to do a “tank turn,” where the left wheels turn in an opposite direction from the right wheels, causing the truck to spin on its axis. The truck will boast 754 horsepower and can hit 60 miles per hour from 0 in 3.0 seconds. You’ll also enjoy adjustable air suspension and a clearance height that can go from 8 to 14 inches. Rivian says that the R1T will be able to tow more than 11,000 pounds and that it has a payload capacity of 1,760 pounds. You’ll be able to choose from three battery packs: 105kWh, 135kWh, and 180kWh.
Rivian is also offering a line of accessories that include a Camp Kitchen x Snow Pak package that comes with a camp kitchen, Rivian Gear Tunnel Shuttle, and Snow Peak Kitchen Set, as well as a three-person tent with cargo crossbars. Head over to Rivian’s site and start configuring your dream truck before these newest versions disappear just like the launch vehicles.
