Making its splashy debut on the renowned 18th fairway at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the new McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept. Such a grand entrance is basically tradition for the company by this point and furthermore an effort to get those consumer tongues wagging in advance. Last year it was the 570S and now it’s the 570GT, a sleek white automotive beauty boasting plenty of forward-thinking flourishes.
The 570GT also represents the first entry from McLaren’s uppermost crust of designers and engineers. Upgrades on the car include a coat of ‘Pearl White’ paint with Piano Black highlights for the body, adjustable Electro-Chromic Roof with UV-protective layering, MSO Defined Full-Length Sill Panels in Gloss Carbon Fibre, and plenty of interior goodness like Saddle Tan leather seats and a Wilkins Hi-Fi system with 12-speaker Bowers.
Paul Mackenzie, Executive Director of McLaren Special Operations, had this to say: “This year, closely following the reveal of the GT addition to the Sports Series family, we showcase the breadth of McLaren Special Operations personalisation work, this time focussing on bespoke engineering design and components. With its Electro Chromic Roof especially, the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept would be well suited to the needs and demands of customers in sunnier and warmer climates.”
Given how warm the weather’s been getting, it looks like McLaren is certainly planning ahead!
