Monaco-based superyacht firm Wally was founded in 1994 by Italian businessman Luca Bassani. Wally produces flawlessly-designed motor and sailing yachts. Their vessels feature sharp designs combined with high-performance. The brand is currently undertaking a new cruiser-racer, the Wally 93.
The 93-foot long sailboat was designed for an avid racing yachtsman who is currently a Wally customer. It features giant sails and a midnight-black hull.
This performance yacht has a displacement of just 35.5 tonnes, making it a strong racing contender. It was constructed with the most advanced composite technology available—CNC carbon fibre mould and unidirectional carbon-fiber— making it light and incredibly powerful.
The large upwind sail has a downwind sail area of nearly 11,400 square feet and an unwind area of more than 5,400 square feet, allowing it to be wind-driven with just 16 knots of wind. The 255 horsepower diesel engine provides plenty of power if there is no wind to be found.
The Wally 93 can accommodate six passengers and two crew members. A luxurious teak deck offers plenty of space for guests to tan and take in the gentle warm ocean breezes. This boat has plenty of amenities, including a secluded saloon for privacy. The guest cabins and galley area have first-rate furnishings. There is an owner’s suite with a large master head as well as two guest cabins.
If you’d like to get a look at this beauty in person, it will debut at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup next year.
