Logitech Crayon is a digital pencil available exclusively for the new 9.7-inch Apple iPad. It’s perfect for students and creatives who wish to express themselves in more detail on the latest touchscreen device. Use it to markup and highlight work, take notes or draw using supported apps. The digital pencil is available now online and from Apple stores for $109. For comparison, Apple Pencil retails for $145.
The iPad’s palm-rejection feature ignores touches that don’t come from the Crayon, so you can comfortably rest your hand on the screen while you create. The Crayon’s smart tip dynamically adjusts line weight allowing you to quickly go from thick to thin lines with a tilt of a tip – like an ordinary pencil. Logitech Crayon connects instantly to iPad without the need to pair, and its battery supports up to 7 hours of active writing time on a full charge.
“First introduced to students as a versatile tool for learning, we are thrilled to make Logitech Crayon, our first digital pencil, more widely available so even more creators, dreamers, and learners can express themselves and communicate new ideas,” said Michele Hermann, Vice President of Mobility at Logitech.
“Whether you are learning to write a new language, jotting down notes, marking up a screenshot or PDF, or visualising an idea, Crayon is the perfect tool for the task.”
Crayon is designed to be comfortable even in tiny hands, featuring an easy-to-grip flat surface to prevent rolling and the durable design means it can withstand drops of up to 1.2 metres. The rubber end cap is tethered to Logitech Crayon to avoid being misplaced.
