Apple released a slew of new products overnight in Brooklyn, including the tiny Mac mini. Apple is claiming that it has five times the performance of the previous Mac mini. What we love most is probably the new space grey finish that’s proved ever popular with Apple fans.
It now comes with quad and 6-core 8th generation Intel Core processors with Turbo Boost speeds up to 4.6GHz and Intel UHD graphics. It’s also got more memory capacity with up to 64G and packs in a Thunderbolt 3 port, two USB-A ports, HDMI video, audio and a 10GB Ethernet option for those of you who don’t dig wireless. Inside you’ll also find the Apple T2 Security Chip. While small in size, it’s got plenty of SSD storage with up to 2TB that their claiming is four times faster working with large files.
Starting at a recommended retail price of A$1249 inc. GST, the new Mac mini is available to order today on apple.com/au. It will be available at Apple retail stores and through Apple Authorised Resellers starting on Wednesday, 7 November.
