Audio-Technica will debut a new wireless noise-cancelling headphone at this year’s CES and it is being touted as the company’s most advanced headphone yet. The ATH-ANC900BT delivers the high-quality audio that you’d expect from Audio-Technica, but it also utilizes digital hybrid technology to accomplish its noise-cancelling function.
Unlike other noise-cancelling headphones, the ATH-ANC900BT can actually personalise its noise-cancelling ability to fit the surroundings. So, whether you’re on a train or plan, or if you’re in a noisy office, the headphones can adapt to customise the noise cancellation. The user simply selects one of three noise-cancelling modes, one specifically designed for use on aeroplanes. Users can also use the Audio-Technica Connect app, available on iOS and Android, to control and customise the noise cancellation.
The headphones use low-energy Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and can provide up to 35 hours of audio, even with both wireless and noise-cancelling modes being operated. They use 40mm driver units with carbon-coated diaphragms, which have improved rigidity for more accurate audio. They come with a USB charging cable and an aeroplane adapter, and they can connect to high-res digital audio players.
The headphones are also compatible with Qualcomm’s aptX, AAC codecs, and SBC protocol. A carrying case is included, and the fold-flat design allows for easy transport.
