Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 Distills the Best into One Sound
Bang & Olufsen are celebrating 95 years of business with a new pair of over-the-ear headphones that they describe as the “distillation of the best elements of Bang & Olufsen sound, design and craftsmanship.” The Beoplay H95 definitely boast the best that Bang & Olufsen have to offer, and the price reflects that.

The best that Bang & Olufsen brings to the table starts with oval-shaped ear cushions that are covered in lambskin for superior comfort over a longer term of use. For the headband, Bang & Olufsen used memory foam, cowhide leather, and a material they’re calling a “custom knitted textile.” For the frame of the H95, the earphones feature brushed aluminium. Keeping the ear pads in place are strong magnets, which allows the ear cushions to be swapped out more easily. Inside the headphones are 40mm titanium drivers that use Bang & Olufsen’s proprietary digital signal processing engine.
Bang & Olufsen also promises the “most advanced Active Noise Cancellation” that they’ve ever made in the H95 headphones. The level of noise cancellation is controlled using an aluminium dial that is embedded in the side of each of the ear phones. Additional dials also control the volume and transparency. These dials are said to have been inspired by the dials on a camera’s lens. Noise cancellation is accomplished by four built-in microphones. The H95 headphones use Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity, and the battery boasts 38 hours of use on a full charge.

The H95 headphones are available through Bang & Olufsen stores as well as select retailers. The H95 headphones are limited edition, however, so if you want superior sound quality, then you’ll want to move quickly to get a pair. Just keep in mind that you’re going to be buying the best that Bang & Olufsen has to offer, and they’re not afraid of charging a premium for that quality—specifically, the headphones are priced at €$800.
