Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Score a Comfy, Sports Refresh

Bose has unveiled its new generation of wireless earbuds with two new products catering to both the lifestyle and fitness segments.

First up is the all-new QuietComfort Earbuds. They’re built for enjoying music, audiobooks and podcasts during those everyday situations where you need to tune out the blare of trucks and buses during rush hour and mute the simple distractions from around the office.

The proprietary noise cancellation sees multiple built-in microphones sense noises and responds within a fraction of a millisecond with an equal, opposing signal to block out the unwanted sounds. With 11 levels of noise control, you can choose how much of the world you let in or keep out.

These Bose buds have 18 hours of total listening time—6 hours fully charged and an additional 12 using the charging case. They have sweat and water resistance, simple touch controls and come with three sizes of soft silicone tips. QuietComfort possesses a matte finish with metallic and gloss accents and come in two colours: Triple Black and Soapstone.

bose earbuds built for sports

Over on the fitness front, the new generation of Bose Sport Earbuds were built from the ground up to be the ultimate workout companion. They deliver better audio quality than their predecessor in about half their size. Bose says the sports buds “lock” in place for high-impact and low-impact exercise without hurting or budging the ears.

Each bud houses a new acoustic system with a high-efficiency driver and volume-optimised equaliser for what’s said to be clear and powerful audio performance. The new Sport Earbuds have up to 5 hours of battery life and a charging case that provides up to 10 hours of additional playback time. They feature sweat and water resistance and come in Triple Black, Baltic Blue, and Glacier White colourways.

The Bose QC Earbuds are priced at AUD $399.95 while the Sport Earbuds will retail for $299.95. Both are available from October 5.
