Fitbit has announced its first Bluetooth earbuds which are built to withstand the toughest workouts and deliver motivation through clear sound and powerful bass.
Fitbit Flyer offers high-quality audio with dynamic range, including features like AAC wireless codec and Passive Noise Isolation to reduce the distraction of outside noises. With two different sound settings – Signature and Power Boost – you can quickly select the right profile for your tunes. Flyer is the first earbuds to incorporate Waves MaxxAudio technology, the same award winning tech used for audio production in film and video games.
The earbuds feature a durable design with a hydrophobic nano-coating that’s rain, splash and sweatproof. A series of interchangeable ear tips, wings, and fins allow you to personalise the fit of your headphones to ensure comfort and a secure fit throughout any workout. Flyer’s 3-button control box lets you easily adjust sound, pause music, and change songs on the go, while audio prompts keep you looped into incoming calls, battery life, song volume and more. With multi-device connectivity, you can simultaneously connect to two Bluetooth devices at once for up to 6 hours of playtime. For a quick battery life fix, 15-minutes of charging will provide you with an extra hour of playtime.
Flyer is designed to pair with Fitbit’s other big announcement the Fitbit Ionic smartwatch which grants access to the usual foray of music apps plus the new expert-designed running and walking Audio Coaching sessions to help you increase endurance, speed, and form on your own schedule. For Fitbit, entering the wireless audio market was a natural extension. “it makes sense for us to bring our unparalleled health and fitness expertise to this space to deliver what our consumers are looking for most: great fit they can count on all day and for any workout, along with high quality sound to keep them motivated.” Says James Park, CEO and co-founder of Fitbit.
Fitbit Flyer is available in two colours, lunar grey or nightfall blue. Flyer will hit retailers worldwide this October. Until then, you can pre-order Flyer for $199.95. It’s just another excellent example of the leading brand of wearables continuing to expand its range to encourage active lifestyles by empowering you with data, inspiration, and guidance to reach your goals. Fitbit Flyer was announced alongside Ionic – Fitbit’s first ever smartwatch and Fitbit Aria 2 – smart scales designed to help you track and understand your health.
