KEF’s LS50 Wireless Speaker Scores ‘Nocturne’ Special Edition
Innovative design studio Marcel Wanders has created a stunning special edition of KEF’s LS50 wireless speaker dubbed ‘Nocturne.’
We featured the KEF LS50 a while back and in the original article said the speakers: offer astounding multi-dimensional sound that delivers a clear, intense and vibrant experience.
This time, Marcel Wanders adds a vibrant circular design that blends musical notation symbols with glow in the dark elements for a rhythmic and sophisticated aesthetic.
“By allowing for individual discovery of the musical elements, the design possesses a distinctive rhythm all on its own,” says Marcel Wanders.
“The eloquent depth to the light and dark shades, textures and patterns allude to what you would experience in a dream-like state,” adds Gabriele Chiave, creative director at Marcel Wanders.
Just like the original KEF LS50 Wireless Speakers, Nocturne features an expert acoustic design and KEF’s patented Uni-Q technology for more evenly dispersed sound.
Nocturne uses a 192kHz/24-bit high-resolution digital signal path, and a dedicated DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Converter) for each channel, ensuring optimal sound quality. Connect up to 8 devices via Bluetooth 4.0 aptX with a range of up to 10 metres.
While special edition, the speakers are also expected to be extremely limited edition. You can secure a pair of Marcel Wanders KEF LS50 Wireless Nocturne Speakers when they go on sale late November 2017 for $4799.
