LG Launches the WK7 ThinQ, its First Home Connected Speaker

LG has unveiled its latest range of advanced audio products for the home, including the company’s first smart connected speaker. Combine all the lifestyle benefits of Google Assistant with the high-resolution sound from Meridian Audio, and you have LG’s WK7 ThinQ.

Meridian Audio, the UK-based company, brings its innovative enhancements to deliver an impressive listening experience. This includes bass and space technologies for listeners to hear rich, uncompromising sound no matter where they’re seated. The sound is warmer and more immersive than what LG’s produced before, even from wide positions.

This speaker aligns with our focus on AI and with our mission of improving the day-to-day lives of Australians through forward-thinking technology.”

LG’s WK7 ThinQ connected speaker launches soon and will retail for $299. It will be interesting to see how it compares to established connected speakers like Apple’s Home Pod, Google Home and the Sonos One to name a few. LG is also incorporating Google Assistant and Meridian Audio into its other new audio products including a range of soundbars.
