Louis Vuitton’s New Horizon Light Up Speaker Looks Out of this World

French fashion label Louis Vuitton has taken their talents to the audio world, creating the luxurious Horizon Light Up speaker. Taking inspiration from the brands Toupie (spinning top) handbag, designed by womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière, the Horizon Light Up speaker immediately catches the eye with its distinct conical shape.

The design is unmatched in the portable speaker industry, with the piece of tech combining both functional and decorative qualities that are classically LV. Promoting a futuristic flavour, if the Aliens need inspiration for a new flying saucer concept, they need to look no further.
The wireless audio device sports a noble leather exterior mixed with metal components. Covered by the iconic LV monogram, it features a subwoofer encircled by rainbow lights that make the LV flower symbols glow in different colourways that change with the music. Furthermore, cut-out letters spelling “L-O-U-I-S-V-U-I-T-T-O-N” radiate around the speaker’s circumference.

In conjunction with the clear ornamental value, Louis Vuitton also provides a dock that allows the speaker to provide more practical 360-degree sound quality. However, if you’re keen to bring your designer audio player outdoors, there’s a leather strap that can be attached to the top.
As you’d assume, the Horizon Light Up speaker pairs with Bluetooth Wi-Fi, ApplePlay 2, and other playing settings. The Louis Vuitton Horizon Light Up speaker is set to launch worldwide on July 30.
