Porsche Designs a Speaker Made From a 911 GT3 Exhaust

The Porsche 911 Gt3 is one of the automaker’s best-selling cars thanks to its innovative design. Now, Porsche Design is used the same innovation and principles of design on a new speaker. The automaker just introduced a new Bluetooth speaker that was inspired by a 911 GT3 exhaust. The same level care went into designing this speaker as the high-performance sports car.

The speaker is made from the vehicle’s original exhaust. It is wrapped inside a state-of-the-art high-gloss premium-grade aluminum case and prominently displays the chrome metal and bare titanium of the muffler parts on top of its minimalist black base.

The design of this speaker helps provide durability and performance in addition to good looks. The dual-speaker setup can output up to 60W of power. It comes equipped with full Bluetooth 4.0 capability for complete wireless audio transmission. The speaker uses the twin exhaust and rear silencer as resonators. This produces rich, deep acoustics, says Porsche. It’s battery will last for approximately 24 hours or more.

Two of the GT3 Exhaust Speakers can be paired together to create a stereo that has separate left and right channels. This can be great for house parties where you want sound in several different rooms.

Other features include DTS TruSurround virtual surround sound, Bluetooth AptX connectivity and Dolby Digital decoding. There is also two digital outputs and analog and coaxial outputs. All-in-all, this is a pretty slick sound bar that would look pretty awesome in any modern home.
