The Beoplay E8 offer an IP57 rating, which means that dust and seat won’t bother the earphones, nor will up to 1 meter of water immersion for 30 minutes. You’ll also get Bluetooth 5.1 support for AAC and aptX codecs with the earphones. When you receive a call, you’ll be grateful for the two built-in microphones in each earbud, and when you want to focus, optimised passive noise cancellation keeps outside noise at bay. A touch interface provides easy control of the earbuds.
On their own the earbuds boast up to seven hours of playback per charge. Throw in the charging case and you get a total of 30 hours of play. A variety of ear tips and fins are available for customizing the fit to your ear, and to help ensure a better fit and better sound. To make these earphones Rapha, they feature a red anodised aluminium ring that stands out against the black earbud. The Rapha logo can be found on one of the earbuds and the charging case also bears Rapha branding.
The tuning for the earphones was done by Bang & Olufsen’s sound engineers, so you know that the sounds have been optimised to provide the best listening experience possible. Rapha and Bang & Olufsen keep the pricing the same for the Beoplay E8 Sport Earphones at $350.
They are limited edition true wireless earbuds, though, and will be made available to Rapha Cycling Club members first. After that, they will be available in both the Bang & Olufsen store and in the Rapha Clubhouse.
