Razer Leviathan V2 X is a Stellar Gaming PC Soundbar For Those On a Budget

Affordability meets modular design with Razer’s new Leviathan V2 X PC soundbar, a brand new piece of audio equipment that aims to deliver top-notch quality at an entry-level price. In April this year, Razer introduced the beefed-up soundbar, which is a PC-only, powerful, all-around sound device for gamers who want the best of everything. At the time, fans were impressed with the concept, but just a few months later, the American-Singaporean company has returned with a more compact, affordable and slick version dubbed Leviathan V2 X.

The new iteration nabs the best features from the Leviathan V2 while ditching a few bells and whistles to keep the cost down. Measuring 15.7-inch in length, the Leviathan V2 X is priced at USD$99.99, which makes it an entry-level contender. However, don’t let the price tag fool you – while the soundbar does lose out on a few things here and there, it’s still is feature-packed and will effortlessly take on most things you throw at it.

Under the stylish-looking small chassis, there are two full-range drivers and two passive radiators, capable of outputting a volume of 90dB when one metre away. According to Razer, these will help provide “bold clarity and resonating depth”. Unlike its bulkier sibling, the Leviathan V2 X PC soundbar has no subwoofer or THX Spatial Audio, meaning you lose out on bass-rich audio.

However, what you don’t miss out on is the super cool and rad customisable RGB lighting. Sadly, there are some cutdowns made here too. On the Leviathan V2 X, you only get 14 different lighting zones, instead of 18. The soundbar is fitted with just a single USB-C port, meaning only a single device can be connected to it at a time. Fortunately, there’s Bluetooth 5.0, which will let you wirelessly pair the soundbar to your phone or a computer.

You also get a custom 10-band EQ along with toggle PC audio device support via Razer Synapse. The soundbar can be paired to the Razer Audio app on your phone, keeping you in control at all times. All in all, the Leviathan V2 X PC soundbar seems to be a value-for-money product that packs a serious punch, despite the small size. It’s a perfect piece of audio equipment for those on a budget or looking for a compact yet excellent gaming and entertainment sound system. So, if all of this has you excited and ready to throw down your cash, you can pre-order the Razer Leviathan V2 X PC right now. The device will start shipping from September 28.
