The new drivers come as a result of Technics work with high-end amplifiers. Using a mix of materials that were specifically chosen for their unique combination of flexibility and strength, the 40mm drivers create a sound that is clear and crisp, combined with a deep bass that comes with minimal distortion. The drivers are contained in an acoustic control chamber, which allows better airflow resulting in “precise bass and rich spatial expression.”
The headphone’s multi-layer capacitors are made of thin polymers, which further help to stabilize the current and limit distortion even more. And while you’re listening to the unparalleled sound quality of the EAH-A800 headphones, you’ll also enjoy not being interrupted by ambience noise thanks to the noise cancellation the headphones offer. Of course, you can also set the headphones to allow in your surroundings using the Natural Ambient Mode.

What’s more, you’ll be able to listen for even longer thanks to the aforementioned 50-hour battery life. The headphones also feature four microphones in each earcup, so noise cancellation is stellar but so is the headphones’ ability to pick up your voice for calls. All in all, these headphones will be great for audiophiles and for commuters.
The new EAH-A800 noise-cancelling wireless over-ear headphones live up to Technics vision for audio gear, which, as they put it, is to “communicate the dynamics of lively music, the breath-taking silence and tension of musical performances, the energy of instrumentalists, and the inspiration of singers’ voices.” Getting the quality doesn’t come cheap, though. You can expect to pay around $560 AUD for the EAH-A800 headphones.
