There’s really not much room to improve on the Leica M10-P. It’s a solid camera with a silent shutter and a 24-megapixel sensor. The touch display is simple to use and very intuitive. The camera has received rave reviews, and for good reason. So what does that leave Leica in terms of options?
One is colour: the new limited Safari Edition takes advantage of the colour option, offering the M10-P with an Olive Green finish.
Branding has been completely removed from the Safari Edition. You’re not going to find the iconic red badge that is prominent on just about every other camera that the German company makes. The limited edition camera is accompanied by a Summicron-M 50mm lens that has been finished in matching Olive Green.
The camera will be limited to just 1,500 units and will sell for USD$8,440 (you can pick up the Summicron-M, which is sold separately, for an additional $3,310).
The camera comes with a Brandy-colored leather carrying strap and a case, which will hold onto SD memory cards and credit cards. Check out online retailer Fotopia for your chance to own one of these limited cameras.
