ONE RS 1-Inch is the 360 Camera Leica Fans Have Been Waiting For
Insta360 is determined to create a camera that is everyone’s go-to tool. The latest effort in this regard is the ONE RS 1-inch 360 Edition. “The 1-inch 360 Edition represents Insta360’s continued mission to make ONE RS the most comprehensive and versatile camera on the market,” explains JK Liu, the founder of Insta360. “This latest edition turns ONE RS into a powerful 6K camera capable of impressive performance even in low light.”

One of the things that makes the ONE RS 1-inch 360 Edition special is the inclusion of a pair of 1-inch–type CMOS image sensors. These sensors are capable of recording 6K 360-degree still photos. As mentioned by Liu, these sensors also make high-quality performance in low light possible. But what most people will notice about this camera is its capability to create 360pdegree content.
The camera features a pair of lenses that record a full panoramic 360 regardless of where the camera is pointed. What’s more, after taking the picture, you can share it either as an immersive 360 image or as a flat image with the included Insta360 software. The software can also delete selfie sticks from the footage, creating clean and unobstructed views.

Creating this new version is the result of a partnership between Insta360 and Leica. “We’re excited to bring Leica’s optical and digital imaging expertise into a new product segment with the ONE RS 1-inch 360 Edition,” said the CEO of Leica Camera AG, Matthias Harsch. “Creators can take advantage of both the camera’s 360 capture capabilities and its dual 1-inch sensors, no longer having to choose between creativity and premium image quality.”
You can pick up the ONE RS 1-inch 360 Edition for $799.99. It is compatible with the ONE R and ONE RS Cores if you already own Insta360 products. If you do already own either of those cameras, there is also an upgrade bundle for $649.99.
