If you’re in need of a small camera that can unleash your creative potential, you’ll want to consider the LUMIX GH6. You can select from a variety of mirrorless interchangeable lenses, all of which use the Micro Four Thirds mount. The camera also offers 25.2MP and can record 5.7K video at 60fps. The GH6 supports Apple ProRes 422 HQ recording, has 4-channel XLR audio, and has 7.5 stops of in-body image stabilization. And when it’s time to review what you’ve captured, you can view it on a monitor that can be tilted in just about any direction, making sharing what you’re seeing that much simpler.

Of course, that’s not to say that a Micro Four Thirds camera would outperform a full-frame version, but there are plenty of applications for the GH6. Because the sensor is smaller, it’s easier to stabilize the image. The camera is also smaller and lighter—no doubt you can imagine how that would come in handy. And even more on the plus side, the GH6 is much more affordable.

If video isn’t what you’re looking for, the GH6 has plenty to offer in terms of still photography. Its contrast-based autofocus is a great improvement over the GH5. For an investment starting at just over $2,000, you can’t go wrong with the Panasonic LUMIX GH6. It has plenty of features to make any filmmaker happy, and still photographers will find plenty to love as well.
