The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is prepared for any film and photography challenge. With a 4/3 sensor, your images and video will have a 4096X2160 resolution. Thirteen stops provide a dynamic range for the best possible film quality with a reduced crop factor. The native ISO measures to 25,600, so even low light situations are possible with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. When it comes to video, there’s a reason “4K” has been added to the camera’s name. You can record up to 60 frames per second at 4K or 120 frames for windowed HD. The camera also comes with four built-in microphones to capture audio.
Blackmagic also added in multiple storage options. You can record in three different types of media: standard SD cards, UHS-II cards, or CFast 2.0 cards. The expansion port also allows for USB-C, so you can connect to external accessories, like a flash drive and SSDs, for even longer recording times. You can also connect professional microphones through the mini XLR connection with phantom power. Next to that connection, you’ll find full size HDMI.
The view panel measures an impressive five inches, giving you a better view of the shots you took. Plus, there’s a speaker next to the screen so you can hear the audio you captured.
There are far too many details of this camera to cover in this short of an article. If you’re looking for an awesome, do-it-all camera, then the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is it.
