When it comes to data storage, size matters most. Speed comes in a close second. That’s why Western Digital has unveiled the world’s fastest 1TB MicroSD card capable of reaching speeds up to 160MB per second.
The new SanDisc card features higher speed and capacity for capturing and moving massive amounts of high-quality photos and videos on smartphones, drones and action cameras. These impressive levels of capacity and speed give users the ability to create content without worrying about space limitations or long transfer times.
The 1TB MicroSD is priced at $799 AUD while a smaller blazing fast 512GB card will go for $349. Both cards are available in Australia from April 2019.
The 1TB SanDisk Extreme UHS-I microSD card can transfer files in nearly half the time of current UHS-I microSD cards. Plus, the 512GB card will feature the A2 specification for launching and loading apps at incredible speeds. Western Digital claims the record-breaking speeds are made possible by leveraging the brand’s proprietary flash technology.
“People trust SanDisk-brand cards to capture and preserve their world,” said Brian Pridgeon, Director of Marketing for SanDisk, Western Digital. “Our goal is to deliver the best possible experience so consumers can share the content that’s important to them.”
