This new invention, an easy-to-use, affordable cable cam compatible with GoPro and other cameras weighing 3.3 pounds or less, could be what young filmmakers have been asking for. Generally speaking, the problem with inexpensive, simple design cameras is that they won’t give you the cinematic manoeuvrability that professional cameramen in Hollywood routinely have access to. This new device, will allow anyone using a run-of-the-mill camera to achieve special angles and moving shots that previously required expensive set-ups.
This new cable cam system can accommodate action cameras as big as 3.5 pounds (1.5 kilograms). Using smartphones and mirror-less technology, it also introduces an intuitively-smart attachment system that can be set up in less than three minutes. In fact, the Wiral Lite can be superior to drones, allowing filming of narrow, difficult-to-access places (i.e. indoors, the woods, and crowded places) where drones are illegal to fly.
What’s great about this idea is that its prototypes have already been tried in real places, using practical scenarios and, thus far, those who participated in the trials have given it a big thumbs up.
Since the project has already surpassed its projected funding goal—you can be sure this product will be seen all over the place in coming years, for both amateurs and professionals.
