The Razer Core V2 Thunderbolt 3 is an external desktop graphics enclosure—that’s a mouthful, but what it means is pretty amazing. Basically, the Razer takes your laptop and boosts its performance so that it plays your games just like a VR-ready desktop-class gaming or workstation setup. The Razer also has plug and play support (with compatible graphics cards) which will allow you to plug in and get right to your game or work without having to reboot. The new version also has expanded headroom to allow for bigger graphics cards, and also features the latest graphics chipsets, including the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-series and the AMD XConnect enabled Radeon RX cards. The four USB 3.0 ports and Ethernet connection allow you to turn your laptop into a gaming stop where you can plug in your gaming peripherals. The Razer also provides both data transfer and USB-C notebook charging.

The Razer is CNC cut from raw aluminum, making it durable and, combined with cooling fans, helps disperse heat from the internal components. It’s also compact, measuring 145 mm by 300 mm. To further customize your Razer, you can use the included Razer Chroma, which allows you to personalize the lighting of your Razer to match your style.
