Just as 4K TVs are finally hitting the mass market, Apple and LG have decided to go one better with the LG UltraFine 5K Display monitor for Mac. With a 27-inch IPS panel that packs in a built-in camera, stereo speakers and microphone, it’s the complete audio visual package and connects to your MacBook Pro via Thunderbolt 3 cable.
It boasts a crazy 5120p by 2880p resolution, which is a little over 14.7 million pixels and 77 percent more than the average 4K screen, but who’s counting. So whether you’re video editing, streaming Netflix or simply reading Man of Many, you’ll be doing it in ultra Ultra HD. The display also comes with three USB-C ports, Apple’s go-to connector, as well as the Thunderbolt 3 cable so it’s good to go straight out of the box.
It hits the shelves next month, with special pricing available until the end of the year, which gives you just enough time to pop it on your Christmas wish list and hope Santa comes through with the goods.
