You know Pelican cases for their rugged, tough builds that can be put to the test while keeping your valuables completely safe. Now the company behind those protective cases is introducing the world to the first personal utility case with QI-certified wireless charging. The Pelican Go G40 Charge Case is designed for anyone who is surrounded by water, dust, snow or dirt and needs to keep their phones charged.
“We have taken our new Personal Utility Case Series to a new level with the Pelican Go G40 Charge Case,” says Pelican Products’ Consumer Division President, Bob Shortt. “It delivers lifetime durability and convenience to a new generation of outdoor enthusiasts and adventure travelers. With its rugged case and reliable QI-certified wireless charging, it is blazing a new and uniquely beneficial category of carry solutions for those who work in extreme weather or work conditions, enjoy outdoor adventures, or just lounge by the pool.”
The case is both waterproof and dustproof, and is designed to easily fit inside a backpack. The exterior is done with an abrasion resistant texture and features a rubberized bumper. A handle makes the case easy to carry. It’s also water tight, so it will float if dropped in water—though it can be submerged for 30 minutes in up to three feet of water. The case measures 7 inches by 3.5 inches by 1.6 inches internally, offering plenty of space for your phone or other valuables.
The charging comes courtesy of the removable battery back tray. Fully charged, the tray can charge your phone up to four times, providing an equivalent of 48 hours of additional power. The tray can fit any phone that is the same size as or smaller than an iPhone 11 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The battery also has a USB port for charging non-Qi-enabled devices. An elastic strap keeps your phone pressed against the battery for Qi charging even while in transit. The Pelican Go G40 Charge Case comes in either black or grey and sells for $99.95.
